Hair Care for summer 2011

The summer season like other seasons has its own pros and cons. Kids wait for summer eagerly for their share of ice cream. Adults like to go on a summer vacation to their parents place or go for a small trip. Putting all that aside, it is a pity that during this season many of you do not give proper attention to your hair. Just how do you go about taking care of your hair during summer?

Hair care in summer is not a very tedious task as it requires little work from you. Those of you with dry or normal hair are lucky ones when compared to those who have frizzy hair. Handling frizzy hair can be a headache during summer. Usually hair care involves oiling the hair often, like say twice a week and applying shampoo regularly.

During the summer season, you want to make sure to keep your hair moist as possible. You need to also keep it clean. Oiling and shampooing weekly twice should be sufficient. Those with frizzy hair need not panic. Just use some mild oil or cream to moisten your hair. Make sure never to leave your hair dry as it can be painful when you comb it. Finally having short hair during this season helps a lot as maintaining the hair becomes very easy. Have a good summer this year with hair care.

Tips for Curly Hair Care

Though curly hair can look fascinating and stylish but they also tend to be more brittle, dryer and prone to frizzing. In comparison to straight hair, curly hair needs more care. One can’t afford to be careless with curly hair. With few easy tips, it becomes really easy to manage curly hair. For instance, those with curly hair should never shampoo their hair for more than twice a week. Shampooing strips your hair of its natural oils and that’s why you should restrict its usage. Conditioner is a must every time you use shampoo. Conditioner helps in re-moisturizing your hair. You can also use a leave-in conditioner on your hair daily or every other day.

Considering the varieties of shampoo available in the market, one can easily find shampoos particularly suited for curly hair. Never compromise on the quality and brand of the shampoo. It is important for a curly haired person to use wide-toothed combs instead of narrow toothed combs and brushes. It will help in reducing breakage and frizzing of hair. Comb your hair slowly and never apply force.

Curly hair has tendency to get entangled. So if you want to detangle your hair then start with your hair moist and conditioned in the shower. Use your fingers slowly and carefully to untangle. Afterwards, you should use a wide toothed comb starting from the end going up finishing at the root of the hair. Don’t detangle your hair when it’s dry. That will cause frizzing and breakage. Let your hair air dry to reduce frizzing. Don’t use brush on wet hair. Remember to deep condition your hair once a month or more to re-moisturize your scalp and hair. You can also choose quality styling hair product.
